RAJ.   For those who are doing Lesson 35 today—and those who weren’t but now will—I want to share the following:

Today’s Lesson does not stand alone, but has been lovingly finessed into place by the Lessons leading up to it, and I’m encouraging everyone to let today’s exercise rest in the glow of yesterday’s conscious practice of . . . what?

Of gladly shifting your Attention when you were frequently reminding yourself . . .

. . .“I could see peace instead of this”. . .

. . .  and because it is important to know that today’s idea IS AS LITERAL AS YESTERDAY’S.

You CAN see peace at any time by not “answering the door” when the invitations to react are being delivered.

Simply put, when conflict is no longer valued as the means of problem solving, the impulses to be self-righteous, arrogant, controlling, mean-spirited, and uncooperative simply do not “come to mind,” and co-operation, co-creation . . . the EXPERIENCE of today’s idea immediately becomes utterly, all-inclusively clear . . .

“My mind is part of God’s. I am very holy.”

Why?

Because resting, unperturbed, in the peace and fulness of your Being—just below all the whirlwind of ungrounded conflicted thinking, desire reaches . . . exudes . . . broadcasts . . . extends the Attentiveness of Creation—the “Beholding” poised to Behold and Discover—waiting for you to see it and confirm it, fulfilling your part of co-creation . . . WHICH NOW YOU CAN DO!

But, I’m getting ahead of myself and today’s Lesson.

Again, the most important thing about today’s idea is that it is LITERAL!  It’s NOT theoretical. It is not a “spiritually clear, correct thought or an ultimate defense which makes safe “the spiritually correct student of Truth.”

No!

And so, here is Lesson 35.  The underlining, italicizing, and paragraph breaks are mine, for emphasis and flow.

— My Mind Is Part of God’s.

I Am Very Holy —

— Lesson #35 —

“Today’s idea does not describe the way you see yourself now. It does, however, describe what vision WILL show you.”

RAJ.   And to be even more emphatically clear, it is absolutely true now! At this very moment!

“It is difficult for anyone who THINKS he is in this world to believe [today’s idea] of himself. Yet the reason he thinks he is IN this world is BECAUSE he does not believe it.”

“You WILL believe that you are part of where you THINK you are.”

RAJ.   And . . .

“That is because you surround yourself with the environment YOU want. And you want it to protect the image of yourSELF that you have made.”

The image IS part of it.”

RAJ.   And so . . .

“What you see while you believe you are in it is seen through the eyes of the image.”

It is not vision.”

“Images cannot see.”

“The idea for today presents a very different view of yourself.”

RAJ.   Indeed! And remember, that means if there seems to be an error, Truth underlies and has already invalidated it! Why? Because it is impossible to have a misperception of nothing! Omnipresence IS the omni-absence of  anything else!

So, the truth is, “Your mind is part of God’s,” which means that you are very holy. Even though at the moment your VIEW of It and of the world is very different, it amounts to nothing more than an “image” in the imagination—which the last three lessons address in these words: “I have invented the world I see.” “There is another way of looking at the world.”  “I could see peace instead of this,” with the “why” of it all being answered in today’s: “My mind is part of God’s. I am very holy.”

“By establishing your Source [today’s idea] establishes your Identity, and it describes you as you must really be in truth.”

RAJ.   And there you have it! Now comes the practice.

“We will use a somewhat different kind of application for today’s idea, because the emphasis for today is on the perceiver, rather than on what he perceives.”

“For each of the three five-minute practice periods today, begin by repeating today’s idea to yourself, and then close your eyes and search your mind for the various kinds of descriptive terms in which you see yourself.”

“Include all of the ego-based attributes which you ascribe to yourself, positive or negative, desirable or undesirable, grandiose or debased. All of them are equally unreal because you do not look upon yourself through the eyes of holiness.”

“In the earlier part of the mind searching period, you will probably emphasize what you consider to be the more negative aspects of your perception of yourself. Toward the latter part of the exercise period, however, more self-inflating descriptive terms may well cross your mind. Try to recognize that the direction of your fantasies about yourself does not matter. Illusions have no direction in reality. They are merely not true.”

“A suitable unselected list for applying the idea for today might be as follows:

“I see myself as imposed on.”

“I see myself as depressed.”

“I see myself as failing.”

“I see myself as endangered.”

“I see myself as helpless.”

“I see myself as victorious.”

“I see myself as losing out.”

“I see myself as charitable.”

“I see myself as virtuous.”

“You should not think of these terms in an abstract way. They will occur to you as various situations, personalities and events in which you figure cross your mind. Pick up any specific situation that occurs to you, identify the descriptive term or terms which you feel are applicable to your reactions to that situation, and use them in applying today’s idea. After you have named each one, add:

“But my mind is part of God’s. I am very holy.”

“During the longer exercise periods, there will probably be intervals in which nothing specific occurs to you. Do not strain to think up specific things to fill the interval, but merely relax and repeat today’s idea slowly until something. Occurs to you. Although nothing that does occur should be omitted from the exercise. Nothing should be ‘dug out’ with effort. Neither force nor discrimination should be used.”

“As often as possible during the day, pick up a specific attribute or attributes you are ascribing to yourself at the time, and apply the idea for today to them, adding the idea to each of them in the form stated above. If nothing particular occurs to you, merely repeat the idea to yourself, with closed eyes.
