Dear friends,
APPROXIMATELY EIGHT HOURS AGO there was a significant payment in the amount of $4,198 which was needed by 5 p.m. tomorrow afternoon and as of this moment it is paid in full. Such is the nature of Gift. Such is the nature of Brotherhood. Such is the nature of Love as the context of making “what is needed” available to “those who need it.” It embodies the teachings of A Course in Miracles, which presents the radical idea that, “What you give, you get to keep” and disallows for manipulation, control and abuse.
Transaction, on the other hand, is manipulation, control, and the ever present context in which abuse can occur. Its premise is, “Until you give me something for what I will give you, neither one of us will succeed in making “what is needed” available to “those who need it”—no Brotherhood, no intimacy. Just isolation, independence, and the cold satisfaction of not having touched another, nor having been touched . . . and likely having been taken advantage of—depending upon who was the better “bargainer.”
You see?
Thank you for your expressions of Love. They keep the Gift pure, and everyone is touched. And, as I said earlier today, “whether slow or fast, the need is met,” and that is the way Love works!
Thank you again.
