to recognize a relationship between violence and the healing than can follow.......... is not the same as justifying violence.......... not from my perspective anyway. it is the inevitable effect of polarity...... you know........ it swings one way and then the other in a great balancing act of the pairs of opposites.

violence can have beneficial outcomes..... it has had beneficial outcomes and most likely.......... until we tweek our united mind skills to a more functional focus......... it will continue to have beneficial outcomes.

peace follows war........ freedom follows tyranny...... healing follows hurt........ rebuilding follows destruction.......... birth follows death......... celebration follows suffering.

as for the death on the cross........ Jesus asked "let this cup pass"....... it didn't....... whose will was it? is there really any other will but God's? that violence was followed by great good.

with ammi's posts....... i join him in support of the end of suffering for the iraqi people. i support him in the vision for healing and agree that that won't happen unless sadaam is taken out or a miracle occurs in his mind. that is not to say i don't focus on the miracle.

i said nothing about supporting the use of violence however do see how the threat of violence has moved things into a global focus in a way that healing can happen through a united global NO towards inhumane treatment of all peoples.
i also think that am impressive show of force.......... will eventuate in the surrender of the irqi army before any missiles are fired.

peace starts here jeanette. between you and me.
