Random quote: "You know you can talk about forgiveness till you’re blue in the face and everyone’s sick and tired of it, but you can be the absence of judgment wordlessly and everyone feels forgiven."-RAJ

ACIM/Raj Study Group

I was hoping to get this out sooner …..but it turns out prepping for an online meeting is more involved than an in person meeting.

Re. Logging in to Zoom: Because of enhanced security at Zoom, I plan to post instructions for signing in to the meeting 2 or 3 hours prior to the start.

Suggestions for topics for our meeting:

>>>>Items/issues that you feel are important.

>>>>Issues/obstacles that you have moved past.

>>>>Issues/obstacles that you have not moved past.

>>>>From the text: First edition p.442, para. 10 / Second Edition p. 474, para. 2. “The ego’s whole continuance depends on its belief you cannot learn this course.”

“Atonement is only a thought away,
if you will let it be the last one.”
A Conversation with Raj
on March 27th, 2020
Paul: What needs to be known? What am I not getting?
Raj: What you are not getting is that thinking, no matter how familiar you are with it, is the static, the interference, which is responsible for the creation and presence of the Holy Spirit. And I am going to tell you something else: The Fall, the creation of the Holy Spirit, and Its presence are happening, for lack of better words, in the “unholy instant”! The unholy instant is the misuse of the holy instant, and the holy instant is now! This instant! This instant! THIS instant!
This means that “the human condition,” one’s “mortality,” the “fallen state,” is only ever an instant old! You may seem to have lived lifetimes in the illusion of mortality, but it is a memory only an instant old. What does this mean? It means that the thoughts, feelings, and “perceptions” of it being an ancient habit are brand new — of only an instant’s duration! And it is your commitment to that perception which distracts you from what can only be an instant-aneous healing — a correction of a present instant of misperception.
Listening is that correction. It is the interruption of thinking. And the interruption happens instantly! It is not complicated or difficult. It’s just that it makes something unbelievably complicated — the reversal of the Fall and the undoing of everything that followed — unbelievably simple, without any sense of an actual ancient history to complicate it.
One doesn’t usually believe the unbelievable, and so one never shifts from thinking to Listening with any sense of an inevitable transformation called Atonement happening NOW, even though that sense would naturally bring an accompanying commitment to Listening.
This is how I raised Lazarus.
The “commanding history” overruling any possible alternative to “death,” was that he had been dead for four days, and his body “stinketh.” But the fact is that this “historical” and “physical” evidence of death were perceptions no more than an instant old, held to tenaciously by his family and friends.
You must understand that it wasn’t Lazarus who was raised from the dead. It was the tenacious belief of “death, with a stinking history,” held in the minds of everyone around him, which had to be interrupted! I interrupted it by not abandoning my union with God and indulging in thinking. Instead, I said to Martha, his sister, “Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” I interrupted her conviction!
And then, once the stone was removed, did I take a deep breath to smell the air, or go in to check out what the potential was for a miracle? No! I looked up — I interrupted the prevailing thoughts of those around me, by redirecting their attention — and said, “Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.” It was their perceptions which needed to be raised from their “dead.”
I called Lazarus to come out, still bound in the graveclothes of everyone’s difficulty to believe the unbelievable . . . and told everyone what they needed to do: “Loose him and let him go!” Release him from your still current false convictions . . . which are really only an instant old.
And they did!
You are never doing anything in time and space, but always in the instant — holy or unholy, depending upon how you are using or misusing it. And the solution to every problem lies in its proper use — letting God move upon it, instead of you filling it with your thoughts.
Persist in doing the only thing which interrupts thinking . . . Listen! Be actively joined in attentive communion with me, the Holy Spirit, and the Father.
There is a reason the Course says, “your attention is God’s treasure.”

I hope you will participate! We can have up to 100 sign-ons. (Can be more than one person per sign-on.) We had 6 people for each of the first two sessions.

I Love you,

I facilitate an ACIM/Raj study group every Wednesday evening, 7:00PM -- 8:30PM, United States, PDT (Pacific Daylight Time).

The goal of our group is: the end of death (Heaven, Awakening).

In the ACIM "Manual," in: "What is death?" the first line is: "Death is the central dream from which all illusions stem."
In the Bible: 1 Corithians 15:26: "The last to fall will be death." ("The last enemy to be defeated will be death.")

Here is my/our take on these:

If death is: "the central dream" and "the last to fall" ("the last enemy"), we should address it, handle it, work on it: First.

In taking a car trip cross country, from Los Angeles to New York, the quickest way is to do everything, moment to moment, that enables the goal: New York. Whatever is needed to handle on the way, will become known, just in the process, after committing to the goal. Some things are foreseeable: put a hold on the mail, food, fuel, change of clothes, maps, etc. If something unforeseen happens: Engine blows up .....I may need to: get a job, to make money, to cover living expenses, to pay for rebuilding the engine .....all on the road to the goal: New York.

Raj says that relationships are the crucible of awakening. Our group is addressing the issue of relationships .....on the road to the end of death.

And: Raj has repeatedly said that we should be getting results: now.

Having more of us consciously joining in this might help ALL humanity.

Given the current recommendations regarding social distancing .....and the potential to expand our group, and reach the goal quicker .....we have chosen to conduct our study group via video conference on "Zoom."

Zoom is very easy to sign onto and use.

I love you,
