Why waste your time, energy and money in addition to everyone else's time, energy and money on dealing with mailing/mailed bags of rice when the real problem lies unaddressed? Yes it is true that nothing unreal exists etc. etc. BUT, we must be INVOLVED, we must ACT. The world has been pussy footing around about dealing with this Saddam problem for about 12 years. How many people have "died" at his hands in that amount of time?
Yes Raj and other enlightened ones have urged us to be in our peace and to see no real threats. But, that did not mean we should sit on our you know whats and say that war and poverty and terrorism is just an illusion. What we can do is ACT, that might look like a war... but all the while we are acting, we must stay in our peace and act from our integrity.
Peace does not mean we should ignore the plight of our brothers who are at the mercy of a mad man. That is not honoring or respecting our fellow humans. Do not be so certain that war is a bad thing. Do not be so certain you understand what is happening here. You don't know what is really happening. Perhaps if we commit ourselves to going in and starting a war with Iraq to say loudly and firmly NO to terrorism, a war will not happen. All that was needed was our commitment to get off the fence. We don't know what all is going on with the world. This may be an opportunity to unite in a common cause and make a strong effort to eliminate dictators and terrorists.
Perhaps you should send your bags of rice to the peoples of Iraq. I understand they are hungry. |
