Random quote: How could anyone ever tell Us we were less than beautiful? How could anyone ever tell Us we were less than Soul? How could anyone fail to notice that Our Loving is a miracle -- how deeply We're connected to the Whole. w/thanks to Libby Roderick

Dear friends,

Since our communication last Saturday evening, when Paul shared about the contributor offering to make a loan of $500,000, there have been $3,557 in contributions made, and for that a "thank you" is due.  But we must continue to have our eyes set on the meeting of the need.  How is it to be accomplished, and exactly what is the need at this time?

The need is to be able to make an offer and secure the new property.

If we are neither behind the point of perfection nor advancing toward it, if we are at that point and God is pressing upon our complacency that we might yield up the resistance to completion, if God wills that we experience completion in every experience that we seem to have, called "needs unmet," then why are we at a relative standstill?  Only because there is a misunderstanding about what is needed.

Consider this:

  • An adjustment in the property value by the county assessor was received a few days ago, reducing the value of the current property by $74,000.
  • This, in turn, lowered the conservative estimated net sale price of the present property to $450,000 (which is the amount our contributor is willing to loan toward the purchase of the new property).
  • This altered the amount necessary to complete the purchase, as follows: With $106,557 in contributions on hand and a $450,000 guaranteed loan, there remains $162,443 needed to complete the purchase . . . a bit more than Paul shared on Saturday night.
  • At the present moment, the new property is actively listed on the open market, inviting someone to take action.

Let us not become like deer at night, stupefied by the approaching light and standing in awe of it instead of continuing to cross the road (the Red Sea).  The awesome gift of a $450,000 loan is meant to facilitate completion, not distract everyone from it.  When persistence of Vision is accompanied by willingness for miracles, the outcome is certain and action confirms it.

We have seen spontaneous unity embodied and displayed in the contributions made so far, and if you have considered making a substantially large contribution, but have been waiting to see whether it might get lost in a general lack of support, then I would suggest that you now have the clarity you need in order to act.

Remember, too, that at this point, whether your contribution is large or small, your participation or lack of it will actually be a determining factor.  It will mean something.  It will make a difference!

Today we stand poised to purchase the new property, and Paul will post the "Contribution Countdown " on The Gathering Place.
