... your Heartfelt response here Lynn, is what i was referring to yesterday while sharing with a friend how important, especially now ... the experience of TGP is to me ... how it is my Community of Shared Heart ... and she pointed out how even in the word ... there's real unity in comm(unity) ... so true.
... also, back to the poem ... another clarity it had was with reference to the doctor's peculiar mention of callous ... when after looking at the xray ... he commented ... 'looks to be healing nicely ... has even formed a callous!...

Thou wilt bind the stubborn will,
Wound the callous breast,
Make self-righteousness be still,
Break earth’s stupid rest.

...of course the word 'break' then also stood out meaningfully
...  with thanks for holy companions,  joined in asking ... Shepherd, show us how to go ... (amen)
