In the meanwhile, we must act with our best knowing. On a smaller scale, what would you say a police officer should do if confronting a clearly disturbed man with a gun who is threatening to shoot a group of children? There is no time to reason with him or wait while your love works on him. He needs to be "taken out" as they say to protect the lives of others. Those are not the long term answers. We need to find ways that will prevent people from getting to the desperate place they feel they need to do such a horrible thing. After this war we need to stay around and help that country rebuild itself and set up a new government.
